40 Days of Prayer

For those who were part of our 40 Days of Prayer in 2023, there have been many tangible outcomes that we are still experiencing!

· Each Wednesday a small group of people meet on Zoom at 6am for prayer.

· We now have a Lead Minister, who has been in the role for almost 3 months.

· There have been many hope stories of experiencing community, transformation, and a fresh sense of unity amongst our congregation.

We will be praying again this year - starting our 40 Days on March 27th and finishing on May 5th, coinciding with the end of our sermon series on Prayer.

There are so many ways and times to connect with us during our 40 days of prayer.

We will have the following prayer times running:

6 am - Zoom prayer | daily

12 pm - In-person Prayer in the prayer room | daily

8 pm - Zoom prayer | daily

9 am & 4 pm - In-person prayer in prayer room | Sunday before services

*6 pm - Family dinner Zoom | Tues & Thurs

*We are also introducing a new Dinner time prayer Zoom for you and your family to join around the table to pray as a whole family at 6 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Our staff ministry leaders met for a half-day retreat recently and discerned together three areas of focus for our 40 Days of Prayer - we would like to share them with you before we communicate them to the wider Door of Hope Congregation.

1. Asking God to help us to Know People, Embrace Authenticity and Engage with our Digital Community

2. Desiring to be a community of Jesus followers that ABIDE with him (John 15 – He is the vine and we are the branches)

3. Praying for provision for Door of Hope’s financial needs, including interest on our loans and, commencing in April 2024, principal repayments on our roofing and fire services upgrade.

We are inviting you to join us as we prioritise prayer – the first of our 6 Key Values. Additionally, this year, not only are you able to participate but we would like you to consider facilitating one of the prayer opportunities. We have the experience from our last 40 Days of Prayer that provides clear guidelines on the role.
