Making a Difference {with} Wheels
In 2004 $100 each was provided as seed money towards various ministry “startup” ideas to expand the vision and mission of God through the people of Door of Hope. One of these ideas was to repair donated cars and pass them on to people in need. That’s how Madwheels was born. Our name is a description of our mission to “Make a Difference (with) Wheels
For the past 18 years we've been making a difference in our community from our fully equipped workshop in the Door of Hope facility. We've donated 170+ vehicles to people and families in need of help. But for us, it's about more than just giving people a handout. We consider what we do to be a hand up as well. We want to offer help and hope to others in our community.
All Ages Need Hope
That's why we've also developed Madwheels Youth. We partner cohesively to build into our community. Madwheels Youth has now been operating successfully for over 11 years, and we're proud of the positive impact it's had on the lives of young people in our area. Our goal is to collaborate with schools and parents to provide support for students who may be struggling with the demands of school life. We celebrate their successes and help them achieve their full potential.
Anyone Can Help!
We couldn't do it without your help. Generously donated vehicles allow us to operate, and local businesses support our efforts to repair and refurbish them. But volunteers are the "lifeblood" of our organisation. They are a vital, positive, sharing group, and we couldn't do what we do without them.
We're always looking for more donated vehicles and more volunteers with a "heart" for others. Our Madwheels workshop is a positive, fun, sharing, learning, contributing, friendly environment. We believe that when people work together, great things can happen.
