We're here to support you

Hope Counselling provides confidential counselling for individuals aged 18+ who are seeking help to navigate life’s stressors, situations and relationships, both present and past.

This means talking together, with the counsellor assisting the client to reach insights for positive change in the client’s life and relationships. Increasing capacity for relating well combined with developing better acceptance of self and circumstances are important goals in Hope Counselling. 

A clients’ concerns may include:

  • Relationship roadblocks
  • Hurts and difficulties
  • Feelings of sadness or anger
  • Stress and overload
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Problematic patterns in behaviour such as addictive behaviours
  • Vague sense that all is not well
  • Problems in the family
  • Inability to forgive
  • Unresolved issues from the past, including past experiences of trauma

About Suzanne

A trained counsellor for more than a decade, Suzanne McKane holds a Masters of Counselling degree, specialising in trauma support, and is a member of the Christian Counsellors Association Australia (CCAA).

"I work from a person-centred, strengths-based perspective informed by a number of evidence-based therapies including Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed therapy, CBT, IFS and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. My gentle approach allows the person to explore their issues in a safe and confidential environment and at a pace that is appropriate for them."
