For youth in Grade 6-12
Friday Nights 7pm-9pm (during school terms)
Our mission is for all of us to be transformed in the image of Jesus for the sake of others
Each Friday we create a fresh and welcoming environment to create community through games, short engaging messages, worship, and meaningful conversations.
We have specialty nights tailored to the needs and interests of our young people; our creative events are designed to engage youth in scripture, experience worship and provide a safe, faith-filled environment.
Our vision is to see young people grow in hope through building a personal relationship with God that helps them relate to their peers. Our team of leaders are young people who want to invest in mentoring youth to navigate this complex season of life.
We have recently established a dedicated youth space that allows us to get a little crazy and have heaps of fun. We have a large expo space for enthusiastic games and smaller break-out rooms for a more chilled experience, with air hockey, Xbox, card games, drawing walls, and more!
Hope YTH has been classified as the best youth ministry in the world (no need to fact-check it)!
This is an opportunity for Grade 3-5 kids to join our youth nights once a month on a Friday, 7-9 pm.
We can’t get enough of young people here at Hope YTH, with such a thriving children’s ministry we love to include our older kids.
At + Kids we tailor events for Grade 3-5, providing the opportunity to experience our youth space, enjoying a safe, inclusive community, through games, large group activities, encompassing simple, affirming messages of hope.
These nights prepare and allow our older kids to get excited about joining our youth program once they hit Grade 6.
If you'd like more information about + Kids, fill out the form below and our team will email an info pack!

Oliver is the Youth Minister here at Door of hope. He leads and shepherds our young people. His role consists of running and leading our Friday night program, connecting with services to build the youth of our local Launceston community as well as grow the young people of Tasmania through connections with Youth Alive and the Billy Graham Evangelistic association.
Oliver is a loving husband to his wife Alicia and a father of his own youth ministry with five adventurous kids. Oliver loves a chat and can be seen worship leading our Sunday services and drumming on our team. He has a heart to see the young people of Launceston grow and connect to build the church and community of believers.
Toby’s role in youth is to support and assist the youth ministry under Oliver. He helps organise programs, create social media content and invitations as well as provide a focus and theme for our YTH + Kids nights.
When Toby is not in youth, he can be seen building lego, playing and listening to music, and spending time with his wife Courtney.
Toby has a heart for the up and coming generation and desires to see them become disciple-making disciples and to see young people deepen their faith in Christ, through community, truth and Grace.
During school terms, YES! We love having young people around and have a youth night every Friday during school terms from 7pm-9pm.
Absolutely! We have so many ways to engage with young people each Friday, our nights often focus on God, but we believe our nights are a great opportunity for any young people to be involved in a safe community.
For sure! We have a huge amount of youth leaders who would love to hang out and make you feel comfortable and secure. We offer a large range of activities to keep you occupied throughout the night with a whiteboard wall for creatives, quiet spaces and card games for anyone preferring to chill out, and a bunch of comfy furniture around for those who would like to sit and rest.
+ Kids is on once a month, on a Friday from 7pm-9pm. For more information about upcoming + Kids nights, follow Hope YTH on Facebook or Instagram.
For part of the night, yes, for safety and intentionality, we have a separate curriculum for our Youth and Kids.
But we allow time at the start of the night, for the first 30 mins or so, to connect in community from grades 3 - grades 11.
