Our Values

We have 6 Key Values which are both practiced and aspirational; each one reflecting the values Jesus gave His followers.⁠ ⁠

These values have stood the test of time and have significantly helped us make decisions towards achieving our God-given vision - to be a door of hope, through Jesus Christ, in a fragile and uncertain world.⁠ ⁠

These are foundational scriptural concepts that underpin every element of Door of Hope Christian Church.

While the way we do ministry will change significantly over time, these values do not change and continue to exert influence on the culture, vision, mission and activity of Door of Hope Christian Church into the future.

Our 6 key Values

Praying

We believe God is both accessible to us and interested in us. Prayer is the backbone of Door of Hope. We are expectant that we will witness God's goodness, supernatural power and guidance in our individual lives, our church community and our global connections. This leads us to be big thinkers and faith-filled risk takers.

Growing

We choose to actively follow Jesus; committed to continual growth, dependent on the Holy Spirit to be disciple makers. We live as an expression of what we believe; God uniquely created each of us to be in relationship with Him, a reflection of Jesus.

Becoming

We use our spiritual gifts and talents to serve our church, local community and world. Our personality, natural abilities, past experiences and spiritual gifts allow us to live full, expansive lives, to honour God and love others.
