At Door of Hope, one of our many community support activities is the provision of emergency food assistance.
This program benefits members of our community who are having financial difficulties and may be unable to afford the amount of food they need.
In 2020, 179 people were assisted with emergency food supplies, and a number of fresh food deliveries were made.
In 2021, 236 people were assisted.
In 2022, we helped 316 families with food and supplies.
In 2023, 358 families were helped.
Traditionally, we run bi-annually food drives on Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, where we set ourselves the challenge of Packing the Pantry.
We are able, however to receive donations at any time throughout the year. Have a look down below at the list of items we pack our pantry with.
If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please contact us to arrange a time to bring in your food donation or connect with you online. Alternatively, to become a recipient of the program, or if you know of someone who may be in need, contact us and we will be in touch to make arrangements for receiving food.
