At Door of Hope, one of our many community support activities is the provision of emergency food assistance.
This program benefits members of our community who are having financial difficulties and may be unable to afford the amount of food they need. In the last year, approximately 150 families/individuals were assisted with emergency food supplies, and a number of fresh food deliveries were made.
Food drives are traditionally run bi-annually on Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, though we are able to receive donations at any time throughout the year. Donations of long-life foods are ideal, although we also accept Coles or Woolworths vouchers which can be used to purchase food or be donated to those in need.
If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please contact us to arrange a time to bring in your food donation. Alternatively, to become a recipient of the program, or if you know of someone who may be in need, contact us and we will be in touch to make arrangements for receiving food.
