The Church has deep roots and knowing some history grounds us.
The church is not new, the church as we know it today is different from the church even a generation ago, let alone, 2000, 1000, 100 years ago but certain things remain the same and are what constitutes “church”. Many people have paid the price for us to worship in
freedom. Their names are not written in the Scriptures but in
our histories. They have paved a way for us.
This series will invite us to think about how culture and content, language and politics affects the church. It will look at a definition of “church” and what practices are required to be able to call a gathering “church”.
