Door of Hope has a heart to support, help and serve others – our mission statement says it well, 'to be Jesus Centred, Others Focused, Together in Community'.
MMO is about going above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings to support and serve others; locally, nationally and internationally.
The following projects are supported by the congregation of Door of Hope Christian Church through the Miracle Missions offerings.
The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission
Located in Banbasa, India, the GSAM is an orphanage with a difference. Run by former Door of Hope folk Rick Shipway and his son Clifton, the orphanage is a working farm, a vibrant school with over 750 students and a welcoming family to the 70 children in its care.
Mustard
Mustard is an organisation committed to empowering high school students in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania to start and run Christian lunchtime groups that are led BY students, FOR students.
They also partner with schools to run tailored chapel services, seminars, incursions, and excursions that explore the gospel message, and share stories of real missional impact with churches, organisations, and movements to inspire young people towards sharing faith in schools.
Bev & Luke Vos
In October 2018, Luke and Beverly Vos, along with their children Lucia, Elili and Ezra, moved to Arua in Uganda. Luke is a doctor trained in tropical disease and Beverly is a midwife who has also worked as a paediatric nurse and with refugees. Both are using their skills and heart for the people of Africa to make a meaningful difference with Pioneers Australia.
Emergency Relief
This money is made available for emergency relief within Australia as it is identified.
In 2023 we raised over $33,000 which went towards the following local, statewide, national and international projects.
Community assistance, MadWheels Youth, Alpha, Christmas hampers, Strategic outreach projects, Mustard, Strategic Emergency Relief, Good Shepard Agricultural Mission, Heart Plunge Ministry and Door of Hope Missionaries.
